The only thing I know so far, its a event where I will see lots of cool bikes; both new and classic.
“The Distinguish Gentlemen’s Ride; also known as DGR is an international event for Classics, cafe
racers, bobbers, trackers, customs, modern classics, classic scooters & undefinable 2/3 wheeled
machines. With 258 rides across 57 countries DGR are aiming to raise money for helping to find
a cure for Prostate Cancer. The fund target is USD 1 million. So far they have raised close to 1.5 million.”
In Singapore; the start point is at MotorWerks, a swanky cycle and surplus store at New Ubi industrial building. I Started doing
the portraits at 230pm. A 2 lights set up. By about 3pm there was already a queue waiting for their photo session. I was amaze
at the variety of vintage bikes in Singapore. What is even cooler; the owner are all dress to the tee. Suits, caps, vests, ties, bow
ties and even a leopard print loafers! Feels like a fashion shows for bikes’s owners. Its a carnival!

By 4pm, after shooting 130 plus bikes with their proud owners; I have to stop as the flag off is about to start soon. In all a
total of 350 Distinguish riders turn up for the event. The flag off was a colorful sight filled with melodies of honk from the bikers.
The 1st stop is at Fort Canning, after a 30 minutes pitstop; the 2nd venue is at the iconic; Singapore Flyer. One of the biggest
ferris wheel in the world. All the bikes were park along the SIngapore F1 track by the river banks. There is a festivity in the air.
Many tourist and locals also took the opportunity to have a kodak moment with their favorite bikes.
The final pitstop is at Zouk. The best club in Singapore. At the open carpark; there is also mini display of Kombi, vintage cars and
motorcycle. By 730pm all the distinguish riders are usher into Zouk for after party. As a father of a three and a half years old
daughter, its only cool to bring her to the most happening club in singapore. Hope someday she would tell the whole my papa
is the 1st person to bring me to Zouk!
Finally a special thanks to Benny and Ginny of MotorWerks for the wonderfully opportunity and experience to shoot at this
colorful and distinguish event. After all this, maybe I should seriously consider getting a bike license…
