Sharp, Compact, and Fast: My Take on the TTArtisan 75mm F2 AF

When I first received the TTArtisan 75mm F2 AF lens, I wasn’t quite sure about this focal length.
It sits right between the XF56mm F1.2 and XF90mm F2 — a bit of a no man’s land. Converted to full-frame, that’s around 112.5mm, which is close to the classic 105mm lenses. That makes it a great option for portraits, semi-macro work, and shots where you want subject isolation thanks to its telephoto reach and ability to create a shallow depth of field with smooth background blur.

After using it for two weeks, what I really like about this lens is the size. It’s compact and lightweight at around 330g, with a 62mm filter thread. Priced at just USD $199, it offers solid value.

Optically, it’s sharp even wide open.
If I had to point out one drawback, it would be the autofocus. It’s generally quick, but sometimes it hunts and struggles to lock focus accurately — you might need a second try. Not a deal breaker; just sometime you should know.

Overall, I’d say this is a lens worth recommending. It’s small, affordable, and delivers good image quality for the price. Check out some photos below.
